Written in a cipher of Common.
Finished moving all of my things besides the still, we decided it would have been too much of a hassle. No big loss; already found a buyer in Undercity and a supplier in Silvermoon. I don't think I'll use up my stockpile of oils before it's set up.
We've already filled up the new apartment with things and people -- Jia, Galenos, and me, and her five cats, and a new houseguest, Cosimo Eschatos from Dalaran. He is roughly the same age as Seol and is much more like one would expect a preadolescent boy to be. It seems he has no allies here, having just defected from the Alliance, so M. Plumfall is sheltering him. Choleric temperament, very rude, must be very frightened to be cut off from his family. Should try to include him in Jia's lessons without wounding his pride, he might feel a bit better.
It's peculiar, being surrounded by children who are older than I (am I forty-seven now?) At one moment, I'm embarrassed to be Jia's tutor when she knows more than I on some topic, and at the next I am astounded at her innocence and childish temper.
I can imagine how elves might conceive of humans as something like kobolds. Jia has been patiently enduring my questions and experiments so far, though -- I think her nose will be extremely useful to me. Of course, I suspect the experimentation is happening both ways. This apartment has only three-and-a-half rooms, but I have one entirely to myself while Jia and Galenos take another and Cosimo is sleeping on some pillows in the sitting room (and the cats are everywhere but a one-yard radius around me.) A luxury, but I also feel like some sort of sequestered specimen. Are they afraid of contagion? Amused by their grotesque pet, but hiding him away in his cage when he is not desired (very sin'dorei)? Or, I wonder, is that Galenos really her servant?
Never too late to become a vulgar novelist.
ELEMI:
1. hinoki, (dry lemongrass) rosewood balsam ?agar? →oliban← bay leaf, etc., cedar
2. (nutmeg, coriander, clove) sandalwood (rosewood?) coumarin/vanille, amber, cedar vetiver???
flowering tree: "baby" plum, un-flowered thing

carnation, anise, rosewood. (pepper,
On a recent visit to Thunder Bluff, to rendezvous with the young lady and her little dog, I met a Checotan of the Shadowhoof Tribe. An interesting day, I thought that I was going to be bludgeoned and hung, or at least herded back to the designated area for Forsaken. Honestly, one slip of a small-a "apothecary" or even just "research" and the pitchforks come out. Tauren, not so peaceful and gentle! A fearful community is always eager for an outsider to sacrifice -- perhaps true of tauren nature as well as human.
But this fellow Checotan seemed a bit more willing to extend trust. I may have been hired to make a perfume for the courtship of his beloved, by L.! I am so out of practice, nevermind that I . I gave him Jia's address and have yet to receive a letter from him. If he calls before I have my new still I suppose I will have to work with my current stock, though that will not be such a disaster as she apparently dislikes florals.
Not flowery
Woods, moss
fierce, not demure, "sharp-tongued"
Feralas - relative wet to Stranglethorn, "dark sand," "creeper vines"
galbanum,
→patchouli ~~ osmanthus, chamomile, angelica

→→geranium
→→champaca??
oakmoss. rockrose,vetiver...?
A "peaceful" scent for a "fierce" lady. The suitor wishes to calm her heart. Better not through the gentleness of the scent itself, though, with dainty florals she knows are lies, but through the scent of hay and tallstrider feather-powder, to recall to her his bashfulness.
