→Seol 38: Would you mail this, Ms. DeVroe?
Oct. 6th, 2009 06:34 pmAstrolabe,
I think that the important things all ended safely. "Coria" is safe, and her friend is being very good to both of us. I do not know yet if there will be a guest in our house again soon, or if there will be one in Jj's house, or none anywhere. But things will be all right, I think.
But we are going to try to get Coria her money from when she was alive. We must go to the city, and it may be a little dangerous. But we are going to try to use a transformation potion to enter quietly. Although I do not speak your language very well, I asked for a potion of your type. I think maybe I will learn more about you that way.
Would you like to come with us? The potion does not last a very, very long time, and "vigorous activity" might break the spell, but maybe it is a chance for you.
Your husband.

Dearest Helaah,
I should be happy today. Today I have truly gained a son. Today I have seen my daughter's greatest wish realized. I have thought about this occasion for decades, planning little scenarios and feeling a rush of pride and joy within my breast.
I feel none of that today, however, which confirms the selfishness within me. I, we, Helaah have lost Astrolabe to adulthood. I have always delighted in the precociousness that has dwelled in our strange, beautiful daughter, but I feel like it has brought me heartache now. I expected that I had decades before my precious flower was plucked, and I suppose I did not expect it despite all of the signs of burgeoning.

→Jiajia 1: Letter to My Brother
Aug. 15th, 2009 08:38 amBrother,
When I went to the bank this month to withdraw money for the bills, I saw our liquid funds had dropped to a hundred gold from three thousand. You can imagine my panic that morning while I confirmed that we had not been hit by a robber or some sort of horrific emergency tax. Then I found the deed. A plot of land in the name of Seol Plumfall in Shattrath City to house a family of four at a reduced price of two thousand gold.
So you're not only spending thousands to build a house in Shattrath while Galenos and I are still renting in Silvermoon, you're not even telling me about it.

Aug. 14th, 2009 08:43 pmAstrolabe,
Plum flowers are falling on Bloodmyst Isle. If you are able, please climb a tall hill so that you can see them.
I do not mind if you think that they are ugly. Or if you think the tree is poisoned, please cut it down. But I want you to see them so that I do not become crazy.
I love all your ideas.

Aug. 12th, 2009 10:50 pmEsteemed Abelar and Helaah,
It is I who have failed you. Do not blame Aesom or Boros; I am entirely at fault for the disaster that your family now suffers, of which it is my duty to regretfully inform you.
Your daughter, Astrolabe, whom Aesom saw fit to assign to me as an apprentice in the way of the Light, has run away. She has not done so out of cowardice but because I provoked her to this course of action.

Dear Astrolabe,
... I find that the beginning of this letter escapes me. I have crafted several drafts and taken many walks to consolidate my thoughts, but I am unable to find the words that would appropriately console both of us in this difficult time. Forgive me for my thoughtless pen and inelegant mind. I am afraid that since I last saw you, I have been a shadow of my former self, unable to even eat or sleep properly. Since you were a child I have seen you everyday, a great comfort for one with such a weak emotional constitution, and for you to be gone so suddenly is...

Aug. 8th, 2009 11:19 pmVindicator Aesom,
I write to you on behalf of my daughter, who is being trained in the ways of the Light by the Aldor. I understand that the people of the Exodar are still troubled by blood elves to the north; if you have a shortage of personnel, I would be honored if you would consider my child for an apprenticeship to one of your paladins.
Astrolabe is not yet a hundred, and as her body is still weak, I am not sure how useful she would be as a soldier; however, she has a talent with the Light, and her teachers believe she has potential as a healer. I have enclosed a letter from Anchorite Nindumen regarding her training thus far.

Word has reached us of your heroic service in the Hellfire Peninsula. Your courage and effort ensured the success of our operation and spared my soldiers and those of Tiras'alan. The Offensive sends these trifles to express our gratitude as well as our wishes for your swift recovery.

A Reply to a Junior Blood-Elf
I have read over your letter, noting the information you have provided me and pondering at length about its contents. While I enjoyed having learned about you, triumphing at your victories and despairing at your losses, I feel that I am unimportant. Knowledge of myself will do little for you, but rather, I would prefer to tell you about my greatest treasure: my daughter.

→Seol 1: Unuseful Life
Jul. 23rd, 2009 09:14 pmHello. My name is Seol Plumfall. I am writing a journal in order to practice Common.
I was born in Silvermoon City 68 years ago in the middle of summer. However, my name means "snow." I was born in the winter of my mother's life because her husband had died. His name was Seol'rae.
My house was Plumfall. The Suncrown family made the Plumfall family. We had a small orchard in Eversong. My mother was Chihra Plumfall. She was a Magistrix and lived in Silvermoon. The orcs burned Plumfall Orchard in the Second War, and most of the family died. Afterwards, the family was only four households.
