So today I decided to do the Southshore quests for Hallow's End on Seol. Apparently you can do this without flagging... ... ... except that I was wearing a shield with a spike on it, so whenever the guards hit me, I flagged. And did not realize this until after I finished both quests. /sob

... However.

The first time I accidentally flagged, two 80s whose names I sadly did not record, a male dwarf paladin and a female(?) night elf druid, followed me as I fled from town and attacked me. Feeling ashamed of my mistake, and also not really being a PvP type of person (even when they chose to attack me,) I sat there and waited for them to kill me (with a /greet, /welcome, and /twiddle.)

...

They didn't do a very good job of it.

So while I was sitting there for a long, long time, waiting for them to kill me, I wondered if it would be possible to last the full 5 minutes without fighting back. So I dropped some Holy Lights on myself, blew an LoH when my mana was gone, /loved them a little...

They started to /laugh and /salute. And then, at 1 minute remaining, they backed off, /laughed, /saluted, and gave up. I hadn't used my bubble yet, so I might have been able to survive the whole time if they hadn't been such darlings.

So I was laughing in my seat. But, I still hadn't accomplished the quests... so I waded back into Southshore, again accidentally flagging, but this time managing to toss the stinkbombs. I then limped into the inn -- a different druid, a male whose name I withhold, was casting a lot of vines on me so I couldn't move very well, and there was a huge mob of guards hitting me in the back and dazing me.

... Still, it did essentially no damage. So I wandered in... looked upstairs... looked downstairs?? Where was this thing I was supposed to click? It probably took me 2 minutes or so to finally find it, complete the quest, toss a /thank and /farewell to the group (one level 25 human /laughed at that) and make my escape.

... Except that level 80 male druid followed me all the way out of town and persistently gnawed on me. Eventually all the guards left me alone, but I couldn't unflag (I guess because I was "in combat" with this fellow.) So I stood around, /cried, told him /no, /cried some more... and finally, after a few minutes of standing there and healing myself, /apologized and fought back.

And squashed him like a bug.

Mr. Druid, whoever you are, if you're out there... I'm so sorry.

...

But I'm also rolling on the floor laughing.

1/50 GNERD honorable kills, I guess.
