What is so remarkable, after all, about paying admiration to those of our generation who deserve it most of all? Is it so unusual for a young knight to find himself overwhelmed in the presence of a great mind or a great soul? I don't think it's so strange to be dazzled by such astounding men and women, to adore and admire from a distance but also to draw close enough to bask in their magnificence. The love of the young for their masters, their teachers, their forebears -- is there really anything more natural than the desire to shelter under the wings of one's betters and gaze up at them with worshipful affection?
That is a normal, everyday feeling, not a crush. And it has

Besides how would I even have relations with the Highlord or Sir Eadr
I honestly cannot think of anything more ridiculous and disrespectful than some little nobody rank-and-file Blood Knight having sexual intentions towards our age's greatest heroes of the Light. Ugh! Writing this is disgusting me!
